Thanksgiving Update
Okay, I'm really not sure how this update escaped me, but let's just chalk it up to the craziness of the holiday season. Thanksgiving was extra special for us this year, as Rafi's parents flew in from Panama and stayed in Stephenville. My mom set them up in a new hotel - a surprisingly posh hotel - for any town, not just Stephenville. Anyhow, my mom made the usual Thanksgiving meal complete with turkey, potatoes, etc. etc. We celebrated both my dad's and Rafi's dad's birthdays with a cheesecake and a 3 layer lemon cake that my mom made.
Of course everyone ate and enjoyed, but what really made the day special was snow!! Yup, we had a white Thanksgiving. Tita and Luis said it was the first snow they'd seen in over 20 years, so everyone was pleased that they got to experience that.
The day after Thanksgiving we did the required shopping, but we also took the tour of the oldest Dr. Pepper bottling plant still working. It's located in Dublin, Texas. The tour was pretty neat. And did you know that not ONE of the 23 ingredients in Dr. Pepper is prune juice?? I'd always been told that growing up, but nope! Not true! If you'd like to see more photos, just put your mouse over this sentence, put your forefinger on the first mouse button, and click it!
