DOC Band Update

Drumroll please........... ................. .................... This is our last week with the DOC band!! At yesterday's head check Miss Amy said he grew 2mm (average growth for one week), and did the adjustment to the band. She said this is the last adjustment she could make to it, so he will wear it until next Friday (or earlier if he outgrows it by then). Friday morning he will have his exit appointment during which they take new measurements, photos, and an exit casting. Yep, have to do one more casting. They do the last casting in case of regression - so they have something to compare to. Regression is very rare, though, so I'm not worried about that. I'm so excited to not have to deal with the helmet! Every day we have to scrub the inside with 90% alcohol (which does WONDERS for your manicure and skin on your fingers, let me tell ya) and scrub his head. It doesn't sound like much, but it gets to be a pain. Our fingers have become "hardened" in spots from all the alcohol. Anyhow, I'm also sad because I have become pretty good friends with Miss Amy. We have already agreed we would email and get together to exercise and stuff though. She's a cool gal. So, that's that! One more week!!
