One lucky guy

Victor is one lucky guy, I must say. He was cycling with a friend here in Austin and was hit by a truck, er, rather he hit the truck when a strong gust of wind blew him over, head on. Thank goodness the truck was going slowly. Victor is suffering from a crushed cheekbone, broken arm (which now has some pins in it), broken kneecap, and all kinds of scrapes and bruises. He is VERY lucky just to be alive, and we are so glad to have him here with us. Don't let his smile fool you, though. I imagine he'll get the full effect of his injuries in a couple days or so. He should be going home tomorrow. We'll see how he fares at home, but he might end up staying with me at the house while Rafi's gone for the week in Japan. Here are more photos of Victor.
